The Smart Ordering system lets you take advantage of all the price changes in the wholesale liquor market. Whether the price is going up or down.
All POS software allows for reordering based on how many of an item you want to have on hand.
ootpik! software uses a Smart Ordering algorithm that decides not only how many you need to order by the quantity in store but also how many to order based on the changes occurring in the wholesale price and how your sales have been recently.
If the price is going down next week then you don't want to order it this week if you can wait. Or if the price is going up next week then maybe you should order more this week. Prices may just have gone up or will go up or will go down and by how much to make it worthwhile to order. There are as many as 5000 price changes at any time (over 30,000 during a surcharge, deposit, tax or ALCB change) and they are updated weekly. You cannot keep up with it and you stand to lose out on the savings which means you lose out on extra profit or being able to offer lower prices at the same margin which means more customers.
